A Signal

In the far corner of the river region, one of the many growing small realms received a signal. It didn’t cause much of a stir. It was familiar, inconspicuous, one amongst many. Not worthy of note. As such little attention was given to it. Not by the recipient, not their neighbors, nor anyone else.
Amongst the millions of messages travelling even in these remote areas, it wasn’t worthy of mention.
Half the universe however paid attention however, to the silence that followed.
